Why we built eventech.
Most AI projects die in pilots. We started eventech because we got tired of watching the same pattern repeat: a six-week discovery, a deck, a pilot that never ends, and an AI system that never ships. Here's the model we built instead.

I've been building production AI for over a decade. Most of that time, I've watched the same thing happen: a company decides they need AI. They hire an agency. The agency runs a six-week discovery. They produce a beautiful deck. They build a pilot. The pilot works. The pilot also costs $400K and never goes to production because the agency has moved on to the next engagement.
I've seen it at consumer startups, at enterprise companies, at every scale. The pattern is the same. Beautiful pilots. No production systems.
I started eventech in 2026 to do something different.
The problem we kept seeing.
Most AI consultancies and agencies are built around a sales-and-staffing model that structurally cannot deliver production AI. Here's the shape of the problem:
- Account managers, not engineers, sell the work. The person who closes the deal is not the person who does the work. So the scope sold is not the scope that ships.
- Junior teams do the building. Senior engineers cost $300+/hr. So the agency staffs the project with juniors, and the senior's only job is to put their name on the deck.
- Pilots, not production, are the unit of work. A 6-week pilot can be a Notion template, a Streamlit demo, or a Jupyter notebook. None of those are production systems.
- No one is accountable for the system after the pilot. The agency moves on. The client is left holding a half-built AI system that they cannot maintain because the people who built it are gone.
This is the market most companies encounter when they try to "do AI." It's not because the agencies are bad people. It's because the model doesn't reward shipping.
What we believe.
eventech is built on a few opinions that are non-obvious in 2026:
- The person who sells the work should be the person who does the work. No account managers. No offshore handoffs. The founder is on every engagement.
- Senior-only delivery is the only way to ship production AI in 6 weeks. A senior engineer can hold the full surface of a problem — product, UX, model behavior, infra, observability — in their head. A team of juniors cannot.
- Fixed scope, fixed price, fixed timeline. No retainers. No discovery phases that turn into endless refinement. You get a quote in 48 hours, working software in week one, and a shipped system in 2–6 weeks.
- Shipped is the only metric that matters. We don't measure success on slides, decks, or pilots. We measure it on systems in production on client data. If the system is not running in production, we have not done the work.
- Auditable AI is the only kind of AI worth building. Every model call, retrieval, and tool invocation is logged. You can explain every decision your AI makes — to your team, your users, or your auditor.
The model we built instead.
eventech is a one-person studio structured as a company. The founder is the engineer on every engagement. We offer three services:
- AI & automation — agents that take over inbox triage, ticket routing, CRM updates, approvals, and recurring reports. Shipped in 2–6 weeks.
- AI products & apps — AI-native SaaS MVPs, internal tools, copilots, and prototypes. Designed, engineered, and shipped end-to-end.
- Custom AI systems — RAG, fine-tuning, multi-agent orchestration, and on-prem or VPC deployment. For problems off-the-shelf APIs can't solve.
Every engagement follows the same four-step process: audit, design, ship, operate. No surprises. No scope creep. No 6-month integration cycle.
What we won't do.
There are some things eventech is not, and saying them out loud is part of the model:
- We won't take a 6-month discovery engagement. If you don't know what you want yet, we can do a paid audit, but we won't bill you $50K/month to "explore the space."
- We won't staff your project with juniors. If you want a team, hire a consultancy. We are one senior engineer who ships.
- We won't build a pilot we know won't ship. If the scope isn't going to reach production, we'll say so. We won't take the engagement.
- We won't take retainers. Fixed scope, fixed price, fixed timeline. You know what you're paying for and what you'll get.
- We won't pretend AI is the answer when it isn't. Sometimes the right answer is a workflow tool, a deterministic rule, or a simpler model. We'll say that out loud.
Who this is for.
eventech works with teams that have a specific AI problem to solve, a real budget, and a real deadline. Typical clients:
- Operations leaders at 10–500 person companies who are losing 20+ hours a week to repetitive work and need an AI agent that actually works in production.
- Startup founders who need an AI MVP shipped before the runway runs out, and don't have time for a 6-month discovery.
- Engineering teams that have hit the ceiling of off-the-shelf APIs and need a custom AI system for a specific use case.
- Product teams that need an AI feature shipped without reorging the whole org chart.
If you have one of these problems, send a brief. We read every one personally and reply within 24 hours.
Why now.
2026 is the year AI stopped being a research problem and became a deployment problem. The models are good enough. The tooling is mature. The bottleneck is no longer "can AI do this" — it's "can we ship AI in production." Most companies cannot. Most consultancies cannot help. That's the gap eventech exists to fill.
If you're trying to ship AI in production and need a senior engineer who will own the whole thing end-to-end, that's literally what we do.
